If you want to make money from home, start building a blog right now.

Want to do some affiliate marketing, how about doing it on a blog.

If you want to capture names and email address of your visitors, use your blog as a squeeze page.

If you want to have a store online selling your Ebay stuff, set up a blog with your store on it. You get the point, I hope.

What a blog is used for exactly is whatever the individual behind that blog wants to do. You, in essence can set up an Internet journal wherein you are able to digitally write down your opinions, thoughts, feelings and/or just about  anything that you want people to read.

Occasionally, you’ll even come across bloggers who, instead of writing texts, make their blogs more audio friendly, by using audio entries or ipod casts. This is called audio blogging.

In layman’s terms, what is a blog used for depends totally on you and what you want to accomplish. You still here? You should be setting your blog up

There’s a lot to learn. Why not learn from someone who dominates web traffic. Most of the questions that people email me are are getting more traffic to their blogs. With search engine optimization, article marketing, social bookmarking, pay per click marketing and Goggle and their algorithms and so on. I understand the frustration. I too would love to have 1,000,000 hits a day to my site. It’s a process that I continually worked on. And you should too.

Here’s a video that I found that really simplifies one method that you can use to get internet web site traffic to your blog. We can’t make money blogging, if we don’t increase traffic to blog. We need to get folks to see all of this content that we are pumping out.

Okay,  so you’ve got your blog up. It looks all pretty and you’ve begun pumping out some nice quality content for your readers. You’ve got your your autoresponder all geared up and ready to go. You’ve stuck in a few advertisements hoping to get some clicks and make money blogging.  After what seems like an eternity you take a lookie look at your traffic stats.

There’s a very important step involved before you can whip up your blog and begin stroking out daily content; let alone making money with your blog. Contrary to popular belief, very few people reap the profits they want from their blog. Most people who set about to earn money with a blog do not succeed for two reasons.

Reason #1 Having unreasonable expectations of how fast your readership will grow and how much money you will make. When these expectations are not met, the letdown oppresses the desire to continue following your dream of having a profitable blog and you give up to quickly.

OR

Reason #2  Simply, the lack of planning. If you want to turn a profit as a blogger, the key to succeeding is to have  a realistic plan and follow through with it.

Naturally, even if you are a super duper socialite or have a genuinely great idea for your a blog, success is not going to materialise in a week. Sorry You will not make $100,000 next Thursday. Building up the kind of readership that blogging for profit requires takes time, and in reality it will probably take at least one to three months before you are able make money blogging. However, staying committed to your blogging project during this initial rough period will pay off in the long run.

Keep motivated, set goals for how often you will update your blog, know how many readers you want to attract, and then reward yourself with your favorite drink for sticking with your plan. Blogging for profit can be achieved, if you don’t make the above mistakes.

To date,  there are no written rule books for blogging. I am sure Google must be working on that too!!! Yet, there are two essential rules for blogging for cash. One is to regulate the content i.e. to avoid blogging to become a tool of racial discrimination and absurdity. This rule is somewhat related to legalities and they are nothing different than the compliance rules of daily life. So a mature blogger doesn’t need to worry about these.

Let’s concentrate on another unwritten rule that will make your blogging fun for you as well for the visitor. It will help you in your fight for some of the the traffic on the big ass cyber highway. Now let me give a couple of blogging tips that will help you move ahead in this traffic war.

1. Topic: Everyone is a master in at least one field. Try to look like a knowledgeable blogger before your visitors in at least one topic. Do not jumble up all the issues, which you are interested in writing for, in a single blog. This creates a confused, and unmanaged perception in reader’s mind about you. You have to keep your visitors coming back!
2. Content of Posts: Keep your posts close to the topic you choose for your blog. Information about pet’s care on a blog dealing with Golf is a total absurdity. This may be an exaggeration, but still, keep the posts topic specific so that the blog serves well for the people who are searching for that particular niche.
3. Presentation does matter: What’ll be your response if you get your favorite dish in a shabby bowl or made to eat it with a broken spoon?? You will vow to never return to such a restaurant ever in your life and that’s for sure. The same goes for condition of your blog. If the content is good but the presentation is unplanned and shabby, folks won’t want to come back. Choose backgrounds, colors, font and sizes according to gravity of topic. For Example, the current affairs and the political blog may be simple and  a sober presentation is suitable. For a more fun loving and entertainment blog fancy colors and fonts prove attractive and suitable.
4. Helpful Information: offer something or other to your visitors every time to engage them in the blog. Make use of different opinion poll tools and ask for responses from the visitors on your posts. Regularly post some helpful information for the visitors related to your topic. Try to make your blog a hub of expert people related to the topic of your expertise.
5. Updating: keep the contents updated to the latest trends and rules going on in the market about that particular field. This will help you to become the authority in your topic. Hence, making your blog THE goto blog for (your niche). That’s what you want to create.

These simple steps require very little work and time devotion. What you put in is what you get out. The popularity of your blog will determine how much money you earn from it . Isn’t it great?? Yes of course, hard work always gets great returns. That’s only if you follow my blogging tips.

{RANT}Avoid making the mistakes I made in the past by using the information given to you. You see for four years I bought all kinds of stuff. You name it, I probably bought it. I spent countless hours and only God knows how many thousands of dollars trying to make money online. The only thing I made sure to do is allow the materials I purchased to sit on my hard drive collecting cyber dust and continuosly fall into the sales copy pitch and buy the next best thing. I didn’t make one damn penny. It wasn’t until I lost my job that I decided to take some action and get it done.  That’s when I started scouring through my hard drive and found the two books that changed my life. I know it’s not easy, but learn from my mistakes and take action. {END RANT}

Okay, this E-book is a must-read and was written  by a gentleman named Ken Evoy. Again, if you don’t know who that is, don’t worry. I’ll fill you in later. It’s also FREE and I consider it my make money online encyclopedia. It’s a long E-book. It’s very thorough and will help you to get your mind right. You need to have a certain mindset in order to be successful and this will help you get where you need to be mentally.  Netwriting Masters Course.

This e-book was written to help you understand making money online and how to go about developing multiple income streams from your knowledge, ideas, and passions, affiliate programs, advertising, Google Adsense, and much more, all in the shortest time and without spending all your hard earned cash.
