Contrary to popular belief, very few people reap the profits they want from their blog. Most people who set about to earn money with a blog do not succeed for two reasons.

Reason #1 Having unreasonable expectations of how fast your readership will grow and how much money you will make. When these expectations are not met, the letdown oppresses the desire to continue following your dream of having a profitable blog and you give up to quickly.

Reason #2  Simply, the lack of planning. If you want to turn a profit as a blogger, the key to succeeding is to have  a realistic plan and follow through with it.

Naturally, even if you are a super duper socialite or have a genuinely great idea for your a blog, success is not going to materialise in a week. Sorry You will not make $100,000 next Thursday. Building up the kind of readership that blogging for profit requires takes time, and in reality it will probably take at least one to three months before you are able make money blogging. However, staying committed to your blogging project during this initial rough period will pay off in the long run.

Keep motivated, set goals for how often you will update your blog, know how many readers you want to attract, and then reward yourself with your favorite drink for sticking with your plan. Blogging for profit can be achieved, if you don’t make the above mistakes.

Niche blogs are generally blogs related to one or more particular industries or areas, including politics, cooking,  sicknesses, or sports etc.. The more niche, or in-depth your blog is, the more challenging it may be for folks not involved with in that niche to get in. It’s for this reason that you should think long and hard about the most effective way to make the most out of niche blogs, and coming up the right niche is a very good place to start.

When you are doing your research (please do some research) for the right niche for your particular blog, make certain you look at the prospective audience, and your ability to continue providing them with fresh content on your blog that is current within that niche. For example, if you’re thinking about blogging for profit in the dating niche, yet you have no desire or interest in what’s happening on the dating scene, it really will not make any sense to go into that subject. Alternatively, try to find a niche by considering what you do have an interest in and create your money-making blog on that instead.

The second step to blogging for profit with your niche blog is to become an expert. Never mind how much you believe you know about your niche blog topic, chances are you could use some polishing up on the matter. I suggest you accomplish this by simply joining other networks in your market and/or doing research on the  blog topic, and spending at least an hour studying the subject matter each day. It is imperative that you investigate your competition, as they will give you a great idea of what’s the happening in this niche and what is not. You competition is generally the pages that show up on the first two pages of google when you do a search for your niche.

**Remember though, there is room in every niche to blogging for profit as long as you have the right up (more on that later), education, determination and will to take action.

In conclusion what you want to become is the go-to-person or place for information in this niche. What that means is blogging for profit can be obtained by constantly updating your blog with fresh accurate information that folks can relate to.  If you work hard and stay focused, you will and make money blogging.
